The church is made ready for the wedding of Merc and Irish. Lots of flowers adorn the church and the baptismal font used earlier in the day is moved back to make way for the wedding party.

Taking his duties as best man seriously, John takes some paces around the church making a mental note of who will need to sit where, and checking he has the rings with him.

Making doubly sure he hasn’t forgotten anything he decides to check with Caissa how the service will progress, and what the congregation will need to do and say.

Taking a moment out from the hectic activity at the Estate, Harlie pops her head in the door and sees some guests have already arrived. Welcoming them all warmly, she compliments the ladies on their beautiful dresses and the gentlemen on their finery. She then runs a practiced eye over the decorations and smiles. Realising some of the guests may not realise how her complicated Family are related, she lays out the Family Bible with the family tree in it, in the vestibule. Smoothing her hand over the page, tracing her own name she thinks

"Today will be a wonderful day."

She smiles and returns to the Bride.

Stitch had woken up early today to help with the wedding preparations and now that time was drawing near she was feeling butterflies in her tummy.
Giggling at her nervousness, she thought of how the bride and groom must be feeling.
Returning to her room to prepare herself she gasped as she had no idea where the bridesmaids dresses were.
“Harlie, where is Harlie? She will know!”
Her nerves now getting the better of her as the butterflies turned in to crocodiles, she runs around the estate on a frantic Harlie hunting trip.

Arriving later than planned at Harlie's house in the estate, Miss looks around to find Harlie to see what help is needed. Spotting Stitch running around in a panic, Miss calls to her, "Stitch, dear, why are you running around so?"

Upon learning that Stitch is looking for the bridesmaid gowns, Miss thinks they should check in on Irish. Miss remembers that Irish wanted to surprise them all with the dresses she had chosen. Miss sends Stitch to round up the other girls and heads to the room where Irish has been starting to get herself ready...

Irish upon hearing Stitch raisin the roof wondering wear the dresses are calls downstairs to the ladies and askes them to com eup to the yellow room where she is getting ready. the dresses are haanging in the closet and she has small gifts for her maids.

Miss makes sure that Irish is seated comfortably in the carriage along with the rest of the girls. With a glance to make sure each bridesmaid has her pendant affixed around her neck and a bouquet of flowers in her hand, Miss gets ready to get into the carriage herself.

Spotting Maeve and Fin at the doorway, she suddenly remembers that Irish wanted the hounds at the wedding, too. Calling to the dogs, they appear instantly and leap into the carriage, falling asleep at Irish's feet.

With everyone safely inside, Miss climbs in herself and signals to the driver that they are ready for the trip into town!

Having calmed down after the dress scare stitch and the rest of the girls get into the gowns.
All now dressed she looks at all of them and thinks it’s going to be a beautiful day.
She gives Irish a hug and wishes her all the best of luck
“Though I don’t think you need any luck, you are a very special lady Irish and my uncle couldn’t have found a better bride.”
She kisses Irish then follows the rest of the girls to the carriage.

Merc stands at the front of the church in honor guard uniform, decorated with the ribbons and medals awarded to him through military service. He shows no signs of nervousness, but inside his stomach is doing back flips. He glances back over his shoulder and see's the majority of his friends sitting in the church. He smiles before turning back to face the front.

The carriage, filled with Irish and her attendants, makes its way from the Leone Soldati estate - driving through the countryside and into the main roads of Southampton proper. As they near the church, Miss starts to get butterflies in her own stomach (if Irish isn't going to be nervous... someone has to be - lol!) and hopes everything goes just perfectly for her friend's wedding day.

As the carriage pulls up and stops in front of the church, Miss turns to the girls with a mischievous smile. "So Irish, ready to step through those doors now? Or shall we forget the whole thing and just order the driver to take us to the nearest town to kick off the girls only Wiltshire county pub crawl?" Miss knew the answer to the question even before she spoke, but still it was her duty in Harlie's absence to give Irish one last chance at freedom and try to cause some mischief at the same time... And at the very least it would get all the giggles out of the way before the group entered the church!

Waiting for the Captan to arrive to walk her up the aisle. with a blink of an eye Maeve and Fin are dressing in flowers and faerie dust.

Father Caissa and John of Gaunt join Merces at the front of the church. This is the cue to the ushers to get everyone seated so things can begin.

When all of the guests are seated the large doors of the church are opened and the procession down begins. Two hounds enter first, then Kincaid comes in bearing the rings, Missserendipity follows moving gracefully. When Irishwoodfaerie is ready to enter the music changes to the traditional wedding march and the guests rise. She looks absolutely beautiful as she glides down the aisle arm in arm with Captain Kidd who is serving as her escort.


When Irish arrive at the front of the church she speaks briefly to Captain Kidd who then nods and goes to his pre-arranged seat.

Caissadiplomat begins his service:

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here to witness the joining together in the sight of God and these witnesses Merces Leone Soldati and Irishwoodfaerie in holy marriage."

Caissadiplomat has a prayer inviting God's presence.

Irish passes her flowers to Missserendipity and joins hands with Merc. The couple exchanges vows:


"In the name of God, I Merces take you Irishwoodfaerie, to be my wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death."

"In the name of God, I Irish take you Merces Leone Soldati, to be my husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death."

Caissadiplomat reads some Scripture and gives a message about God's love and the importance of human love and its best expression in marriage. He talks about the importance of forgiveness in a relationship and the value of attending the mass together. He speaks of the difficulties involved in mixed marriages (faeries and humans) and also of the difficulties that are involved in a military household. He offers them comfort that with good communication and lots of love they will be able to overcome their challenges.

The priest requests the rings and John of Gaunt takes them from Kincaid and hands them over. Caissa prays for the rings to be a symbol of eternal love.

Repeating after the priest, the couple make their vows and exchange the rings after their vow:

Irishwoodfaerie: Merces, I give you this ring as a sign of my love. With all that I am and all that I have, I honor you in the name of God and of Jesus and of Aristotle. This is my vow to you before God."

Merces: Irish, I give you this ring as a sign of my love. With all that I am and all that I have, I honor you in the name of God and of Jesus and of Aristotle. This is my vow to you before God."

Caissadiplomat prays inviting the grace of Jesus to enter their relationship.

Caissadiplomat declares, "You have declared your vows before God and this congregation. May God confirm your covenant and fill you both with Grace."

Caissadiplomat prays for the wisdom of Aristotle to accompany the couple in their new life.

"You may kiss the bride."

Merc and Irish leave arm in arm followed by John of Gaunt and Miss Serendipity and then Kincaid and finally the Priest.

The couple passes under the crossed swords of the many Legionnaires in attendance on their way out.

Harlie makes sure she has her glove on and slips her hand in the 'new' rice. She grabs a large handful and throws it liberally over the bridal party, watching Iuby struggle with the rice as Irish had majiked it all over him instead. Fortunately, the itching won't last long, but she finds it incredibly funny watching everyone wriggle and scratch.

Harlie laughs and claps her hands at her mischief then runs off to the Legionnaire for the celebratory drinks.

Having held back tears all through the ceremony, Stitch finally breaks down and lets out a whimper of happiness as Caissa pronounces the words” you may now kiss the bride.”
Tears rolling down her face, she following Irish and Merces out of the church and giggles as she sees Maeve jump on a stranger trying to ruin her aunt’s wedding.
Stitch and the rest of the bridesmaids then proceeds to open way through the crowd for the happy couple to reach their carriage.


(OOC read back Iubar, no magic was performed, Maeve (the well-trained hound) made you topple the rice over you)

Captain couldnt hold his tears after ceremony. But he had to go and check the Adventure Galley for the trip. Then he came next to Merces and said:

Iubar quickly hurried home to take a bath and get rid of his itchingpowder rice. Fortunately, not too much had actually reached his bare skin, so it was easily removed and yielded hardly any scratch marks. Another side, or perhaps major, benefit was that the working day's dirt was finally washed off.
Dressed in his newest outfit, and smelling somewhat clean instead of as a piece of filth, Iubar returned to the weddingparty. He directly walked towards Irish and Merces to introduce himself as one of the newer town members and to congratulate them with their vows.

Seeing her new friend Iuby returning to the festivities, freshly scrubbed and cleaned, Harlie greets him enthusiastically. She is much impressed by his new clothes and the sweet scent of soap. A big improvement on earlier.

solon128, mayor of sb, though at first to send one of his courier pigeons. but he remembered merc helped and supported him all the time. he thought it is not fair sending a note instead of going himself. but, how can he left the town? he gathered some of his best friends and told them:
"friends, i am, going sh to be with merc, an old friend, in his best day. please dont feel my absence to our citizens. otherwise they may be panic to see a town without a mayor which may remember them old, bad days. i trust you and i promise i will be back asap after seeing the newly weds".

the started his journey right after the sun went down. on the road of sh, he remembered that he traveled to sh with merc for the first time. he remembered the old good days in templars arms.

finally, he arrived sh in disguise to celebrate newly weds. unfortunately, he missed the wedding but he joined the party. hopefully, people were drunk enough not to recognise him. he leaded towards merc and his lovely wife and congratulated them his best wishes. then he left the party to return sb quickly. while on the road to return, he though himself "what a wonderful thing to be young and married to a lovely woman"
