Returning home after many travels of late, she felt the need to pull the family and some friends together to celebrate just being alive and together. Going to the dining room she calls for Raistlin who almost immediately appears at her side. Looking around the room she sees he has it set as always, it never failed, he always seemed one step ahead of her.



"I see you have read my mind again Raistlin, but perhaps not this time. Please add a few more place settings. I plan on inviting some new neighbors and some old. Time to see Reading's citizens once again enjoying the nice weather and company of each other." pausing to look around once more "What would you suggest as a menu for this evening? Anything fresh and handy?"

Knowing Smom would want a dinner with family upon her return, it was all work for him and the rest of the household. Raistlin had carefully supervised and directed the servants to arrange the chairs, tables, plates and silver. It did not take much for they already knew what to do. He left the room briefly to see how the kitchen staff was doing and returned just in time when the Lady of the manor called for him.

M'lady, we have a stock of meat available as well as an assortment of fresh fruit and vegetables. A nice spring lamb would do well for the evening meal.

Listening to her Steward she smiles "That would be wonderful. Could you also see to it that April is informed that the younger children eat up in the nursery this evening and that young Master Gwaine is permitted to join us tonight. She should prepare for more children, should they come. After our meals they will be permitted to visit us before retiring so the adults may enjoy the evening." pleased that all was under his control for now "I shall be in my rooms preparing myself for guests. I shant be long. Before dinner drinks in the formal parlour tonight, it is larger. See you soon." and with that she was off to prepare both herself and her husband for the evening.

The old steward nodded and immediately had the nearest servants add a few more place settings. He was accustomed to having more than the usual number of guests coming in to spend time with the family. It was always better when the Lord and Lady were not out travelling to some other distant county. The children were more lively and the visitors were more frequent. In his advancing age, he'd grown to like the activity that made the Manor come to life. Once the dining table was all set, he retreated to the hall and marched back into the kitchens. It was going to be lamb for dinner. He also asked the cook to make a refreshing green salad and a side dish of baby carrots and potatoes. Variety was key to a good meal. There was also good wine that would please the company. When done with dinner discussion, Raistlin left to look for April. She was the most experienced when it came to children. He relayed the wishes of their employer without staying too long. Him and tots usually meant disaster for he did not have the patience nor the gift for handling children.



The parlour was ready to receive the family and their guests. The drinks were ready to warm them up for the sumptuous meal that would follow in the dining room. It was normal for them to socialize a bit before satisfying their hunger. As the Lady mentioned, it was larger and had more room to move around if the conversations became more animated than usual. All was ready as far as himself and the servants were concerned. The rest was on the cook and his touted skills at surprising people in a good way.

franka hurried home to bracknell manor after closing the shoppe. mom and pops were expecting her for dinner. she ran to her room to change. franka saw that theodora, her faithful servant and friend, had already laid a dress out for her. changing quickly she ran a brush through her hair. not even looking in the mirror she went back downstairs to see who had arrived.

It had been a nice day. And the evening held even more promise as he got dressed. It did not take him long to finish. Emrys then watched his wife for a few moments as she checked herself in the mirror. Beauty and grace, and elegance, and wit... all in one creature. He smiled thinking how blessed he was to be loved by and married to her. He let out a sigh then approached, leaning to kiss her shoulder as he reached her. "You look amazing. We are having dinner, not a ball. Come..." He took her hands in his and pulled her up gently from her seat. His eyes always betraying how desirable she was to him. He sported a proud grin as they went down the stairs and walked towards the parlour where they would all meet for drinks before dinner.

Sara had heard that the Lord and Lady were having a dinner party after all the traveling they had done. Sara and the children were glad that they had gotten back safely. Gwaine was excited that he would get to sit with the grown ups. The triplets didn't seem to mind much either way. They rather play then sit still for hours.

With the youngest ones in the care of the nannies Sara helped her eldest son get ready. He always cleaned up nicely. It made Sara proud to be his mother. Once he was ready he helped his mother pick out a lovely dark red dress.

The dress was floor length with a small train on the bottom. It hugged her body like a second skin and showed all her womanly curves. Sara thought it was a bit to grand for such an occasion but Gwaine insisted she wear it.

"You are a pretty women mum and I want you to be proud of that. You deserve to look as pretty as I know you feel...like you use to."

A smile crept across Sara's face at her boy's words. She did feel like herself in the dress and it had been a long time since she had shown her elegance as such.

Sitting down at the vanity that was in her room Sara pinned her hair up , leaving a few stands loose to frame her face. As she was about to get up Gwaine put something around his mother's neck.

"Lady Julia took me to town the other day and I bought this for you." he said, as he clasped it.

Looking down it was a pure silver pendant. Noticing that it had an engravement on it Sara lifted it up slightly to read it. it said:

Always with you, G.M.K.K.

Turning around on her stool Sara hugged Gwaine tightly and held him for a moment.

"Thank you my sweet boy. I love it and will wear it always I love you all very much."

Gwaine beamed and offered his hand to his beloved mother. He would be her gentleman tonight.

Ryofu was overjoyed to be having a proper meal at the home of her Aunt and Uncle. She knew it was just dinner and not a fancy dress occasion, but still she wanted to look the part of a Lady. She put on a dress that should thought was acceptable. Tight at the hips, flowing and loose down to the ground. It didn't show too much, this was a family occasion, but still Ryofu wasn't the girl who first arrived in Reading anymore. She had a desire to feel womanly. Satisfied all was ready she made her way to Bracknell manor. Similar to her last visit she carried some fresh rolls and buns from her bakery for the family to enjoy. She was able to find the time to home make butter for the bread. Food was more satisfying when hand made in a hearth than bought in a tavern or the market.

She approached the manor and knocked on the front door then awaited a reply. Things were calm and she was looking forward to a very pleasant evening.

Raistlin answered the door as usual. It was not that it was all he did but his office was fairly close to the front entrance and he was not that much of an old man yet. There was still some quickness in him, at least that was what he would like to think. As expected, another of the family. He gently swung the door all the way open to clear the way. His hand gesturing for the lady to enter.

Welcome Lady Ryofu. They are in the parlour having drinks. Dinner will be served soon.

Ryofu steps through the door and gives Raistlin a small curtsy and thanks him. She hands him the basket and the lump of butter so they can be served with dinner. Smiling she makes her way down the hallway to the parlour. Upon seeing her Aunt and Uncle she wraps them in hugs, then she finds a chair to relax in until dinner time.

Emrys held his niece, hugging her back in greeting. "I am glad you could slip out of your busy schedule and dine with us Fufu. Would you like a drink?" The question was to both ladies as he looked from his wife to his nice and back to his wife again. He walked over to the bar area and took out a few glasses, placing them on the counter. All the while, his eyes looked at the bottles of liquor and wondered which one would best suit their pre-dinner chat. The food would be ready soon, he ventured a guess. The house staff usually ran on a schedule that was kept to by their strict steward. "Wine? Rum? Can't possibly be tavern ale that you want. Which is it ladies?" He grinned as he looked, occasionally glancing at the women.

After leaving Eclipse with his squire to be taken to the stables, Ezekiel had walked up to the front door of Bracknell Manor.
Turning back he took in the scenery of this wonderful estate.

It seemed like ages since last he dined with anyone other then his own staff and he wasn't quite sure what to expect.

Turning back, facing the door once more, he patiently awaited to someone to come open it.

"I will take a half glass of wine Emrys." Sara said, as she made a smooth yet graceful entrance into the room with Gwaine by her side.

"I will have some water please" Gwaine added, guiding his mother to a comfortable seat.

He walked over to his lordship and politely waited to take a drink to his mother.

Ahhh...another. Raistlin thought to himself as he approached the front entrance and opened the door. The sound of hooves alerted him to the presence of another guest. Opening the wooden panel all the way, he gestured for the gentleman to step in. There were several people on the guest list and this man fit the description of the former general Lady Smom was close to.

The Lord and Lady are in the parlour to the right. They are expecting you M'lord.

Looking at the beautiful necklace around Sara's neck , she was about to comment on it when Ryofu came in and hugged her. "So happy your here Fufu. Lets hope we all can stay home for awhile."

When offered a drink she could not help to smile at the thought of tavern ale "A nice glass of wine, I think, Emrys." her eyes were following his every move when movement from the corner of her eye had her head turning to the door.

"Ezekiel" his name came out so fast...partly out of shock of really seeing him in a setting close to public, and pleasure that he accepted their invitation. Turning to her family "Sara, Emrys and Ryofu, I believe you all have met my former General and friend Ezekiel Hilkiah. And this young man is Sara's son Gwaine." she gestured towards her great nephew and winked, so he knew not to be nervous.
Turning back towards Ez "Come in. We were just having drinks. What can we get you?"

Smiling broadly at the expression of Smom he bowed his head slightly at each of the others as Smom mentioned their names before taking a deep bow at the mention of Gwaine.
"At your service master Gwaine"
Turning back to Smom at the mention of drinks he smiled softly.
Perhaps some water to start off with. I do have a bit of a dry throat and it would be a shame to quench my thirst with anything else for now.

"Here you go young man... Wine and water for you and your mother." He smiled, giving Gwaine the two glasses. Turning back to the counter, he poured the bottle of wine into two more glasses. He hadn't decided what he wanted yet. But if he were to decide at that very moment, he would pour wine for himself as well. He listened as his wife introduced the gentleman who came in. "We are pleased that you accepted our invitation. It is very nice to finally meet you." He filled a third glass with water then walked over to his wife, taking a slight detour to give their guest his drink then handing one with vino to his beloved and offering the other to Ryofu. He quite enjoyed the chance to apply a little balancing trick with the glasses. If Raistlin saw him manning the bar, the old steward would no doubt frown upon it. He was always so proper. "Please. Sit anywhere you like. We have a little time to be comfortable before old Raistlin announces that dinner is to be served. Spring has peaked. Have you noticed how green the forest area is? We could have a good fall hunting season. Do you hunt Lord Ezekiel?"

After getting his mother seated somewhere comfortable he walked over to Emrys and waited for him to serve the drinks. As he waited another man walked into the room. He looked well kept and Gwaine sensed a feeling of honor about this man.

Upon his acknowledge of Sara's son he smiled politely and nodded.

"Thank you sir." he said.

Gwaine was then handed a glass of water and he promptly handed it to the man that he had spoken to before taking another and his mother's drink over to her.

"Here you are mum." he said, with his best grown up voice he could muster.

Sara beamed and accepted the drink, "Thank you Gwaine"

Rising from her seat with drink in hand Sara walked over to the small group.

"It's a pleasure to see you again Ezekiel." Sara spoke, remembering the few times she had seen him in the family owned tavern a few weeks prior.

JD was happy about having the invite but also a little worried...after all it had been a while since he had went into hiding and things have changed not only with him physically but really his whole image as a person has become different from his past life. Its not something he thinks about much anymore and really has no desire to do so. As he walked up to the doorway he knocked feeling a bit timid. He wondered what they would think of ."the new him". Or if they would really understand why he had changed.

slipping into the parlor, late as always, Megs hopes that Mom and Dad are too busy to notice her...she had taken extra time to secure the puppy and get dressed for dinner this evening. Glad that there was a lot of chatter to cover her entrance she slips into a chair after a disapproving glare from one of the serving girls...biting her lip she blushes lightly and tries to catch up on the conversation...

The steward was quick to appear once more at the front door, opening it for the newest guest. It was going to be quite an evening for this little gathering of family and friends. With a gesture, he welcomed the gentleman and let him into the Manor. The faintest scent of food could be sensed in the hallway. The cook had been working non stop since the kitchen staff began preparations for the dinner. Raistlin did not doubt the man's skills although he found the fellow's ego a bit too much at times. Oh well, it would be worth it, he thought.

Good evening M'lord. Please come in. They are waiting in the parlour.

As soundlessly as a shadow, a pale woman dressed in an elegant black velvet gown follows about thirty paces behind a bearded man. It might have been polite to quicken her steps or call out to announce her presence so as not to essentially be stalking the unawares fellow, but Countess Reine does not feel like having to then make small talk all the way to the Bracknell manor front door. It's bad enough that she'll have to attend a party, so the anti-social noblewoman will need to steel her nerves for the plentiful mindless banter to come. Even though she is less than enthusiastic about the party itself, she does appreciate the thoughtfulness of being invited to it by a couple who have both been very good to her in the past and so she would not miss their event tonight no matter how miserable it will probably be for her.

The man ahead of her reaches the door and seems to shift uncomfortably as Millicent moves sideways to stand behind some tall brush. Her dark eyes narrow in annoyance as they bore into the back of the gentleman's head through the leaves, waiting for him to hurry on in so she can casually follow in a few moments after him. From the distance, the Dame's myopic eyes cannot make out the features of the man who answers the door, but the man ahead of her still seems to hesitate before entering. "What could that fool be delaying for?!" she hisses under her breath, growing increasingly annoyed at the preposterousness of her hiding behind a bush waiting for him to enter all because she doesn't feel like speaking to him.

Gritting her teeth, the Countess finally steps around her hiding spot and begins gliding slowly towards the door with her nose upturned in a haughty manner as if nothing were out of sorts should either of them have happened to have seen her emerge from behind the tall shrubs several feet away. She pauses at the doorway and unclasps her bony hands to withdraw an invitation from her sash to present to the steward when he turns his attention towards her. Millicent remains standing in perfect, motionless posture, looking very much like an alabaster statue as she waits, only seemingly, patiently for her turn.

The invitation to the manor came as a bit of a surprise to Tenshi. She knew that the Morgans had been doing quite a bit of traveling as of late, not that it was any surprise to her as she knew Smom enjoyed seeing the world and catching up with her family scattered everywhere, but this time they seemed to have slipped back into town without her noticing. She was just happy to know they were back safely and were apparently planning on staying for a while.

She told Ehwaz about the invitation, halfways laughing at herself for the excitement slipping into her voice. She was even happier when he told her quite quickly that it would be great to go and see old friends and make new ones. Plus, Tenshi knew that Zak and Miaka would both be made welcome and would have children with whom they could socialize rather than suffering silently through an adult event. Nevertheless, she ensured they both looked their best.

Arriving at the manor, Tenshi stoops to make the last few adjustments to Zak and Miaka's appearance and then brushes her hands along her skirts to smooth out the wrinkles while Ehwaz knocks on the door. She slips her hand through his arm and smiles up at him, silently marveling to herself how handsome he looks. 'His natural comfortability helps as well. He's a man of...well, of everything. Whether working hard or dressing to impress, he always looks and acts...perfectly,' she thinks to herself with a little contented sigh.

JD walks in keeping his eyes forward. In the time he spent away from the family a major transformation in the type of man he was and in his abilities had taken place.

Please....there is no need for formalities. Call me James....or if you wish simply JD.

Once inside he stood for a moment without moving a mussle. He moved only his eyes just trying to sense his surroundings. His training had allowed him to learn to find people really without ever having visual contact with them. Simply knowing the person he was looking for and knowing the surroundings and where the person is most likely to be at a point in time allowed him to go directly to them as if he had been told where they were. After a moment he started moving with a slight smile on his face knowing he will finally see those he had missed for so long. He walked up to Emrys swiftly and stood before him smiling.

My friend, it seems it has been ages since we last met. I hope you'and the family have been well.

JD held out his hand for a typical hand shake hello as he kept smiling. He was happy to be back and it showed on his face.

Raistlin sensed the arrival of more guests. He was always so keen when it came to the number of people in the house as well as activity by the entrance. The years of doing the same things had led him to acquire a certain grace when going about his work. He approached the front door and held it wide open. Just as he thought. The pale lady had an air of nobility about her. This one he had not seen before in the Manor. Given her demeanor, she would have picked the name Countess Reine from the guest list. He stepped to the side waved his arm toward the hallway, adding a slight bow.

Welcome to Bracknell Manor, Your Grace. The Lord and Lady await your arrival. Please follow me...

He led the Countess to the parlour, always mindful of where she is and their relative distance. The door to the room was left open so all he had to do was the announcing. It was a bit more formal than what his employers preferred but he felt a little indulgent at that moment. He spoke clearly as he addressed everyone in the room, portending the entrance of their newest guest. He retreated to the side to emphasize the Countess' entry.

Hearing a familiar sound, he slipped out of the room and headed back to the Manor's entrance. He opened the door and his eyes beheld a picture of a nice young family. Familiar faces that he had seen around Reading. If he wasn't mistaken, the children were playmates of Master Rohnan. Greeting them in earnest, he invited them in showing them where the parlour is.

Welcome! Dinner will be very soon. Would you like me to take the children upstairs where the rest of the young ones are?

Seeing her sister Franka she begins to think a little torture of her brothers is in order.... Standing she non-chalantly wanders over to her side and whispers... Franka...do you still have that little black vial of 'wicked'??

Ryofu smiles when her Uncle hands her a glass of wine. She takes a sip and looks around the room. She stands and greets Ezekiel after he had made his greetings with Smom and Emrys. She smiles and makes conversation when she notices Meghan slip into the room. She doesn't look over so Meghan's parents attention wouldn't be turned in that direction.

After a small while a man she had never seen before made his entrance followed shortly by Dame Millicent. Ryofu makes her way over and gives the noblewoman a curtsy and welcome hers. Its so nice to see you Millicent, do make your self comfortable. Would you like a before dinner drink, some wine or cognac perhaps ?

At Raistlin's warm greeting Ehwaz smiles and introduces everyone. Ehwaz Stewart-Larson and family good sir. This is my lovely wife Tenshi and our son Zak and daughter Miaka. I'm glad we aren't late. Looking down at the children he replies "yes i do believe the children would be quite happy to visit with the others". As Raistlin leads them upstairs he smiles as Tenshi reminds them to be on their best behaviour. Offering his wife his arm and a smile "shall we dear it would be rude to just stand out here and ignore our gracious host"

franka couldn't help but grin when her little sister spoke. why yes, megs, i do. i think we should add a little flavor to their drinks. oh, megs, the shop is open and i have a work table set up just for you. i have our first project in mind too. you must visit as soon as you can. i have a surprise for you too.

after looking at the sign on the shop early in the day she thought a name change was in order. first though she would wait till meg came to visit and discuss it with her.

looking around the room she was happy to see all the family gathered. mom definitely knew how to give a dinner. everything was beautiful as usual.

Grinning at her sister, oh yes...they will never know what hit them. Ah yes, your new shoppe! I will come in the morning, after I finish with the tutor. Looking around at all of the people, most of whom she had no clue their names, much less the significance of their attendance.Mom always outdoes herself with these things doesn't she?, She was just glad that Mom and Dad were happy and that everyone around her seemed to be too, even the old butler seemed to be in his element and almost had a smile. Megs thinks for awhile on the last time...if ever she had seen Raistlin smile.

Before she can say another word or greet her arriving guests, a streak of blond hair ran past and stopped in front of the now arriving, newest guests. Not letting this interrupt, she was next to the offender as if she crossed the room without a step.
"Rohnan, just what do you think you are doing down here young man? Did you not hear me say to stay with April and you siblings?" hands on her hips she looked down into his angelic little face...knowing he had the same evil streak his older brothers had at he same age "Well?" she tapped her foot as she waited.

Bored. He was so bored. Gilly might like being up here playing with Ryen but he did not want to play dress up with a baby or HER.
Moving over to the window he looked outside and sighed. Stuck. He was stuck. Oh how he hated grown up parties. Pouting and bored he watched yet more arrive. Was then he saw him.Was it him, yes.
Not waiting a moment longer he ran out of the room and towards the back stairs, no one could stop him if he went the back way. Only when downstairs did he remember he would have to pass through the room Mother was in. He did not care.
Rushing past his Mother and sister he spots his target yelling "Zach. Zach Zach Zach...your here at my house. Your really here."
His Mother was there a second later and she looked mad...really mad. Smiling his most charming smile "But Mum...Zach." he turned to the young man near him. He had only met him once at the park, but one does not forget the only male he knows of in this place they lived now..Reading. Looking back at his mother he pleaded with his eyes.

Between his charming smile and pleading look in his eyes, his father's eyes. She recalled she never could say no to the senior Kieran either. Her heart and facial features softened.
Realizing they were not alone she suddenly felt rude. Smiling the knowing smile of one mother to another she knew Tenshi would understand. "Please excuse me for not greeting you properly. Welcome to Bracknell Manor." she looked from Tenshi to Elwaz and back "Has been far to long since I have seen you both. I hope such a long period does not occur again. But alas, seems we both have been traveling of late."

The children fidgeting and obviously not wanting to be here, she took the hint and continued "It seems Rohnan is very excited about Zach's arrival."she looked at her son and winked letting him know all was well now. "Perhaps we should let him take Zach and his sister up to the nursery and have a before dinner cocktail."
Turning to her Steward who was waiting to take the children upstairs "Raistlin could you see they make it without wandering off?"

Arriving in Reading on his Horse Arabella, Harus takes his horse to the stables, and turns to the door of the house. Arriving at the step, he knocked on the door, making sure all the dust from the road was off his clothing, he placed his hat back on his head, and waited for permission, or someone to answer the door.

The collar was itchy. Shirts weren't supposed to be tucked in. And his hair certainly wasn't supposed to be combed down and neat. Because of this, Zak's face held the faintest hints of a scowl and the only thing that prevented it from being a full scowl was knowing that Miaka would copy him and Mom would be mad at them both.

He sighs and looks up at his mom as she fixes his outfit one more time. When Raistlin lets them in, Zak murmurs a quiet and grumpy hello and follows everyone to The Room. But when Rohnan runs over to him with a grin, Zak's mood quickly changes as well. He smiles up at his parents and whispers to Miaka, Rohnan.

Echoing his friend, he says it a little louder and looks up at his mom. Look Mom, Rohnan!

He thinks he sees his mother trying to hold back a laugh as she meets the pretty blonde woman's eyes, and smiles even wider as he sees her nod. But he can't help the holler of happiness when Tenshi nods her head toward the staircase, Go on, Zak. But take good care of your sister and go slow on the stairs.

Before she can change her mind or Dad can say a word, Zak takes his sister's hand and rushes as quickly as he thinks she can handle to the sanctuary of the other children.

It takes a great deal of restraint on Tenshi's part not to snicker or roll her eyes at Rohnan and Zak's behaviour. But tonight she was around more than just family and she wanted to be seen as a semi-proper lady. Luckily, she manages to just smile and nod and reply to Smom with little more than a waver in her voice. I think that's a very good idea.

She takes Ehwaz's hand and walks with him to the others before sitting down in a rather comfortable chair. Thank you so much for having us. I can't remember the last time I was here, but I know your home is as beautiful as it ever was.

Tenshi looks around the room and grins as she catches Ryofu's eye. She recognized most of the people, but was surprised to see some of them here. It had been ages since she last saw Sara Jane or Ezekiel, but she smiles warmly at them. When her eyes land on Franka, Tenshi can't help the little sound of surprise that escapes her mouth. My goodness! Franka, is that you? I had heard you were in town but I didn't know if it was true or not. It's been ages. I don't even know if you'd remember me, but it's lovely to see you again.

Watching and being sure not to laugh Ehwaz watches the children quickly retreat upstairs.Turning to their hostess he thanks her for inviting them all to her home and asks how Emry is. After they enter the parlour Tenshi takes a seat. Ehwaz decides to stand a bit and stay near her. Scanning the room he see few people he knows theirs Ryofu who he gives smile to and he spots Emry and to his suprise see the Dame Reine also. There are many others he doesnt know so he quietly stands enjoying the warm and friendly atmosphere of the party .

It was a genuine effort to catch their interest. He was not very experienced with children and it was by choice. Staying away from them and letting the nannies do their work was the best strategy for him. He stepped out of the parlour and to his relief, the little ones followed. It was then that he heard another knock on the door. They went with him to the front door and watched curiously as he opened the large wooden panel, letting the gentleman in.

Welcome. Please come in. They are waiting in the parlour, the second door to the right.

Ah no am late! Alpine thought and ran around in the room she had at one of the Inn's.

Which one she had checked in on, she did not know cuz she had been so tired after the long travel, that she had no though of checking the name. She had just taken the first one she saw. Then she had taken a long, well-earned bath, after that she had just passed out on the bed. And now, when she woke up again, she saw she had slept all day long and she was late for that dinner! Harus had sent her a letter about that when she was two town away from Reading. His mom had invited them both. Alpine had felt ok, untill now.
Panic, stressed, still halfly tired, nervous and did not know what to wear. First time she would meet his parents and family....and she was late!

She took her pink and white cloths and ran down stairs after a peek in the mirrow that she looked ok. At same time she tried to calm herself down while she walked in the direction Harus had said his mom's house were. She had missed Harus alot during her stay at her fathers. She just longed to see him again and hug him tight and soon she could do that. Alpi smiled to herself.

When she came there she could see Harus standing in the door ready to enter and a butler holding up the door for him. Oh, now she gotta hurry up! She went faster and then slowed down when she started getting closer to him. She poked him on the left shoulder and went to the right to tease him alittle and see his reaction. Reaction on seeing her for the first time in a month or more.

Contrary to his daughter thought, Emrys did notice Meg's entrance. He merely smiled and glad that she took the time to get away from whatever trouble she was brewing to be with them. Although, with her and Franka in one room, there might be more trouble to come. Shaking James' hand in return, he smiled back. "Yes, yes. Myself and my family are well. How are you? It has been too long. Would you like a drink?" For the longest time, he knew of James' travels around England and could not catch up on his whereabouts at any given time. He was glad that he could dine with them this night.

His eyes went to Raistlin who entered the room and announced the arrival of Dame Reine. Ah, another familiar guest. The Countess was his colleague in the county army and in the College. It was a welcome sight for him to see her attend. He looked forward to lively discussion and he also needed her expertise on some legal matters. Perhaps, after dinner. It was nothing that could not wait. "Good evening, Countess."

Ehwaz and Tenshi came in arm in arm. And when Rohnan dashed in heading for Zak, Emrys chuckled. It was him who took Rohnan to the park, making the boy a new bamboo sword and then hunting for monsters. It was a glorious day in the child's eyes, probably equivalent to a great adventure for the "adults". So long ago it seemed. They would have to do it again one of these days. Travelling had been a large part of their lives of late. However, they had decided to stay at home as much as possible. Family had never been more important to them as much as it was now. The dinner was a step towards that. Looking at the couple, "Something to drink for you two?"

No thank you...I am fine for now. Its just really good to be back. Ive been off for so long that a lot has changed. The past life I lead I just want to move on from. Being that I traveled for so long I had to learn the ways of defense and now its become a way of life for me.

As he says this JD is looking out of the corner of his eye the entire time. Even around family and friends it is habit that he watch his back. His sword always at his side and daggers strapped to his hip at an instant ready when the need arises.

Harus nodded to the Butler as he told him where to go, taking a look around before he stepped in, he felt someone tap him on the shoulder. He looked right, and saw no one, then turned around to see his wife there behind him.

He smiled, and pulled her close and gave her a big kiss. It'd been forever since he'd seen her, and was happy to finally be able to hold her again.


It's good to see you again finally hunny. he looked at her and continued to smile, then took her hand and walked inside the door with her.

You ready to meet my family? There's lots of them here.

She grinned when she got him to look the wrong way. He then saw her and she smiled widely at him, very happy to look into his wonderful eyes again. Before she even had the chanse to jump up in his arms he pulled her into his and gave her a kiss, that she passionatly responded to and hugged him tight.

It's good to see you again finally hunny. he said smiling at her.

"Its good to finally see you to, my love. I have been longing for you even since i left town."she answered and smiled back at him.

Then took her hand in his and walked into the house.You ready to meet my family? There's lots of them here. he continued and she noded, but felt very very nervous deep inside.

Did she look ok? Had she chosen the right cloths and how did her hair look after all that running to get here? And many of his family was here! She walked after Harus and went little bit closer to him at the same time she looked around at everything they passed by. It sure was a nice house.

Alpine whisepered to Harus;"Do i look ok, hunny?"

It would have been more fun to race Rohnan up the stairs, but Zak also likes being a good big brother. It makes him feel responsible and grown up to help his sister learn new things or be protective of her. But once the kids make it up the stairs and into the nursery, Zak grins at his sister and gently nudges her towards the nice looking lady in the room watching the other kids.

He follows Rohnan to the other side of the room away from the girly things and looks at the toys and books and stuff. Wow! You have so much stuff here! What do you wanna do?

After taking a quick peek at the playthings, Zak looks over his shoulder at Miaka to make sure she's ok. She's shyly standing near Alice, but Zak sees her inching closer to the other children and the girly things. Satisfied that she'll be ok, he turns his bright and somewhat mischievous blue eyes on Rohnan.

Hmm, no you don't look okay. You look absolutely breathtaking. he smiled and pulled her close, and kissed her again.

Alright, lets go meet the folks shall we.

Releasing one of her hands, he turned and walked toward the Parlor where he could hear everyone talking, pulling Alpine with him, knowing she was getting more nervous with every step.

He knew she would be shy and try to hide behind him, so he made sure she was at her side the whole time.

Entering the parlor with his wife, he saw a lot of familiar faces, and some new ones. He smiled again, and looked at his parents.

Ello everyone, I'm here, and I'd finally like you all to meet my lovely wife, Alpine. he spoke with a smile, and kept his arm around her to make her feel safe, though he knew mum would soon be charging across the room to give out hugs. He was looking forward to one!

Alpine watched him look at her up and down as she peeked towards the room ahead of them were she guessed everyone were. When she heard his first reply her heart jumped and she felt she wanted to sink though the floor. My, what should she do now? She bit her lip nervously and looked around, trying to fix her cloths abit.

You look absolutely breathtaking. She then heard Harus say and he pulled her into his arms and kissed her.

"You..."she started and gently slaped his arm."Do not do that again."she giggled and kissed him back with a smile. Hopeless man. she though to herself while he released her again and once more lead her forward towards the room.

Alpine tried to not show she was so nervous as she was, but somehow knew prolly Harus noticed it from the start and thats why he held her so close to him. She could not help but so slow down abit and walk little behind him.
When they entered the Parlor she looked around at everything and everybody. Alot of new faces and she pulled herself closer to her husband. He then put his arm around her and she felt more calm about it all. She smiled and stretched her back.

Ello everyone, I'm here, and I'd finally like you all to meet my lovely wife, Alpine.

Alpine heard his calm voice and smiled even more, then looked around once more at his family and friends.

"Hi." she waved alittle at everybody and felt all her shyness roll over her like a blanket and halfly blushed.

Tenshi looks over at the newest people and smiles warmly at them. They look familiar to her and she wonders if they've met yet or simply passed each other on the street. The young woman is clearly nervous but is trying to put up a very confident front and Tenshi admires her for that.

'It seems this is quite the family reunion! How lovely for Smom and Emrys to have so many people in their lives that they can count on and call family. Truly blessed,' she thinks to herself. She's often wished for a larger family and she believes it's why she considers her friends to be as much a part of her family as any blood relative.

She feels Ehwaz's hand on her shoulder and she smiles up at him while patting his hand with her own.

Leaning over toward Ryofu, Tenshi grins at her and whispers, How are you, Ryofu? It's been too long. You really do need to come by the new house for dinner some time when your duties let you.

Seeing Harus enter with his new wife, she grins a wicked grin at Franka and walks over to them innocently.. Hello my dear brother... and finally you have brought your wife to see us! Hello Alpine, I am Meghan, Harus' little sister. leaning closer she whispers, I promise the rest will not bite you, Morgan's can be a little intimidating but we are harmless for the most part...well except Harus that is and he is just a big old sod. Grinning at her, Meghan says loud enough for them both to hear, Would you two like something to drink? If you want to meet the rest I will get them for you.

A young lady came up to them with a smile on her face and introduced herself as Harus babysister. Alpine smiled back at her and got little more relieved. The nervousness was halfly gone, at the moment, as she listen to Meghan. Then she leaned closer to her so Alpine leaned towards her alittle as it seemed that she wanted to whisperer something. She grinned to her comment about the family and giggles alittle about about the Harus thing. She turned her eyes to her husband, smiled and squeezed his hand. Then turned to Meghan again.

"Its very nice to finally met you to, Meghan." she said with a smile."And sure, I can take something to drink, thank you."she peeked around the room and felt that nervousness again.

Meeting the rest. Well it had gone fine so far, she thought and wonderd why she was so nervous about it. As Meghan said, noone will bite her. She smiled to her own sillyness.

Bowing his head slightly as lady Sara addresses him.
"I assure you milady, the pleasure is all mine. I am most fortunate indeed to see you here again. It has truly been too long."
A gentle smile appearing on his face as he raises his glass to her.

He scans the room for a brief moment to take in all the new faces who arrived, many of whom he has never seen before and a few he recognizes from these past few weeks, and even a scarce few from so long ago.
He directs his attention back to the lady Sara and her boy with a warm smile.
"Might I ask, does milady plan on staying long here in Reading by chance?"

Returning the smile Sara sipped at her drink. She too then noticed that extra guests had arrived, including her Aunt Franka. Making a mental note to talk with her aunt later her attention returned the gentleman before her.

"I will be staying for quite some time I think. The children seem to like it here. I also need to earn enough to stand on my own again which is going slow. I may end up moving and staying here permanently if the kids want to stay. I already had some requests from Lord and Lady Braden to stay."

Grinning at Alpine and glaring at her very rude brother for not acknowledging her at least....she narrows her eyes and grins...walking to Franka, she whispers, hehe...I am getting Harus' drink...wanna pass me that little vial.. I am going to spare his new wife the torture...but this is going to be sooo funny! She waits for Franka...

Smiling at the words of lady Sara Jane he was a little surprised to hear she was entertaining the idea of moving to Wiltshire.
It is quite nice around these parts, there is no denying that.
And in all honesty, I'm not surprised lord and lady Braden have asked you to stay. Reading would be most fortunate to have you and your children living here and we would welcome you with open arms.

Looking around Sara felt good to be around family that so warmly welcomed her. Or was that the wine she was sipping?

Her eyes fell on Gwaine who was quietly sitting in the seat that his mother had once occupied. He sat back in the seat. His feet dangling off the chair. His arm was resting on the arm of the seat, well he held his glass of water in the other hand.

A small smile spread across Sara's face as she watched him. As if he knew that she was watching him his head turned and he smiled at her.

Turning back to Lord Ezekiel she smiled softly.

"I take it you have lived here for most of your life then? Perhaps one day you could show myself and the children around?"

franka tries hard not to smile or laugh as she hands meg a vial.

i think this potion will work just fine for both of the megs. she does love him. let's make him a little more attentive and i dont think mom or pops would like us getting rid of him. lets just make him suffer alittle like alpine does. she thinks of him night and day so it is only right he does the same.

Gathering herself together, she smiles nodding to her sister as she takes the vial and heads to the nearest drinks tray...taking two glasses she quietly steps where no one can see her and returns quickly to Alpine and Harus handing them each a glass. Enjoy, both of you and make sure you take her to meet Mum and Dad Harus, I am sure Mum will be insulted if you do not. Though I am not sure they would be suprised. Anyway, how are you finding live married to my dear brother Alpine? I do hope he treats you better than he treats me... grinning at Alpine she hopes she understands the brother/sister thing.

franka stands quietly by the table with the drinks and watches her little sister walk back to harus and alpine. a slight grin appears on her face as she thinks back to the first potion she ever made.

franka waited until she saw harus and alpine take a sip of their drinks before she walked over to them.

well, hello, dear brother. said franka, are you not going to introduce me to your beautiful wife?

franka could hardly keep a straight face as she waited for the potion to take it's effect. she smiled and winked at megs as they waited for harus to respond.

Illynya enters the Manor by way of the kitchen, startling the cooks as she grabs an apple.

"Many thanks!" She takes a huge bite and waves at the staff who are rapidly ushering her out of the kitchen.
It had been a while since she'd visited and she couldn't remember the layout of the Manor. She wandered the hall, opening a few doors at random until she finally spotted someone she thought she knew...

"Good Heavens Gilly, you're getting big! You remember your big sis, don't you?" The nursery seemed to be more full then it should be, she hoped that some of these children belonged to guests or she'd been away at sea a lot longer then she'd thought.

She was playing tea party with Kenna and Katie while the boys played on the other side of the nursery. Gleefully enjoying being the older female, she was in her glory acting like her Mum.

A lady entered and she wondered if they had more kids coming to play with. Turning her head to the side when her name was mentioned she looked and smiled as she realized just who it was.

"Illy!!!" getting up she rushed over and hugged her eldest sister. "You came, Momma said you would come. The others are here, but you never came with. I though you did not like us anymore and were not coming." holding her big sister leg, so very happy to have her home, she realized she was wearing britches and not a dress. Pulling back she looks up puzzled "Does Momma know you wear boys clothes?"

"Of course I like you!" She hugged her little sister. "Well, Arch is a little smelly, but I like most of you."

She took another bite of the apple, then discarded the core in a handy potted plant.

"Am I underdressed?" She feigned shock. "I don't suppose you'd be able to help me find something more suitable to wear?"

Smiling as her sister says she likes her, she bursts out laughing when Illy says Arch smells "All boys smell." she looks over at her twin and sticks out her tongue, making a face.
When Illy mentions finding something to wear she looks at her, placing her hand on her chin like she has seen Momma do many times "Hmmmm" walking slowly around Illy "I think Franka might have a dress that will fit, unless..." Pulling Illy by her hand she leads her down a maze of hallway, stopping at a closed door.
"This is your room. I bet Momma has dresses in there already. She gave Megs all new dresses when she came home. Lets look, ok."

Illynya smiles, thinking that at some point in the future Gilly will probably change her opinion about all boys smelling bad.

She allows Gilly to propel her down the corridors to her room thinking she'll have to ask for a map at some point. She cringes at the thought of a whole new wardrobe full of dresses. What's so wrong with breeches? They're both comfortable and practical.

Gilly throws open the doors and starts examining the contents. She spots a bright pink gown in the corner that can only be the one that she had at Morgan Manor up in Penrith. It would be out of style by now, surely. Not that she kept up with the latest fashions.

"So what do you think, Gilly, see anything suitable?"
